Sunema Tavui - Babies Team Leader

Kia Ora, Talofa lava and greetings to you all

My name is Sunema Tavui and I migrated from Samoa to New Zealand with my parents in the 1980’s. I had a wonderful and loving upbringing with my brothers, surrounded by loving parents and Whanau. I am blessed with nine vibrant children of my own and loving husband who supports me with my passion as an Early Childhood Teacher. My desire to be an Early Childhood Educator grew as a parent.

I am passionate about being an advocate in ECE and to be a voice for children’s right to quality education. I believe that each child is an individual and as an educator I value and aim to develop each child’s interest, strength, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning.

Children learn through play, so I give my all to provide opportunities for our tamariki to explore and to be creative with imagination. I love to celebrate cultural diversity and believe each child is unique with different interests, backgrounds, and developmental stages.

As an Early Childhood Teacher I value good communication skills, good listening skills, a friendly attitude, patience and love with a warm natured spirit, a strong work ethic with a flexible and prepared mindset at all times.

Brina Ese - Toddlers Team Leader

After graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Education Brina began her journey at LIFE in 2016 as a casual employee. She has progressed to be a strong leader and key part of the Centre.

Brina is very passionate about giving all children the opportunity to learn and grow holistically. She is a creative gem who also enjoys learning languages and different cultures. Brina wholeheartedly believes that children are precious treasures from God. “You’re fearfully and wonderfully made!”

Brina was born and raised here in Mangere Bridge. She enjoys family time, her adorable nephews and being spontaneous! Brina attends LIFE Church South.

Paula Donigh - Preschool Team Leader

It is a pleasure to be granted the opportunity to work alongside your young children at LIFE Childcare. I come from a close knit family and enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and studying fun facts. My passion to work with young children began when I gave birth to my daughter Chloe.

I have been working in the ‘Early Childhood’ sector for over fifteen years. I have been a team leader for over nine of those years, and I have mentored several provisionally registered teachers through the journey to full registration.

I am a Christian, so it is wonderful to be able to work in an environment that promotes the teaching of ‘Lord Jesus’.

I look forward to sharing in the growth and development of your wonderful children over the coming years.
